Convenience of servicing

RAE-3 watches movement is a Miyota 9122 automatic premium movement. They have been checked and regulated you to have the best start with it, but that is it. This means that all the parts for the movement can be acquired from Miyota by a qualified watchmaker service, where ever you are.

The seals used in the watches are good quality seals used pretty much as a standard in the industry. Sapphire glasses back and front are also nothing that cannot be found by qualified watchmaker. The front glass is domed sapphire which is more expensive and rare solution, but they are available as widely as the flat ones. But yes, they indeed can be a bit more expensive. 

Scratches and whatnot can be filled and polished by any watchmaker. Many choose to keep the wear to show a life lived. 

All this means that where ever you are, the watches can serviced by any qualified watchmaker. This is also highly highly recommended to use professionals. This kind of mechanical movements are to be handled only by trained people. But, to use this kind of movement that is made by a known established manufacturer, it still gives you more freedom of choice what comes to the decisions to have your watch serviced.
